By leaving a machine with Barnwell Typewriter, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
All services are performed based on the condition and needs of the individual machine. Prices and turnaround times may vary depending on the machine, parts availability, workload, and the amount of work required.
Customers will be contacted regarding any major additional work or expenses when reasonably possible. Parts, special materials, and requested services may result in additional charges.
All listed turnaround times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Turnaround times may be shorter or longer depending on current workload, machine condition, parts availability, and other circumstances.
Older machines naturally have wear, damage, corrosion, rust, and other age-related issues. Barnwell Typewriter will make reasonable efforts to preserve and improve each machine, but we cannot guarantee that every defect can be completely removed or repaired.
Some repairs or restoration work may reveal additional issues that were not visible or known when the machine was initially received.
Replacement parts may be new, used, refurbished, or reproduction parts when appropriate. Certain original or obsolete parts may be unavailable. Barnwell Typewriter will make reasonable efforts to find suitable replacements when needed.
Customers are responsible for clearly communicating any specific requests, preferences, colors, materials, or other special instructions before work begins.
Machines left unclaimed for 60 days after the customer has been notified that the work is complete and the machine is ready for pickup may be considered abandoned.
If a machine is considered abandoned, Barnwell Typewriter reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to sell, dispose of, or otherwise handle the machine to recover unpaid service, storage, or other applicable costs.
Customers are responsible for keeping their contact information up to date and responding to communications regarding their machine.
Barnwell Typewriter takes reasonable care of all machines while they are in our possession. However, we are not responsible for damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, theft, flooding, severe weather, power-related incidents, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.
Barnwell Typewriter is also not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, deterioration caused by age, or damage that occurs as a result of the machine's existing condition.
Typewriters are older mechanical devices, and some components may be fragile due to age. During cleaning, servicing, repair, or restoration, previously weakened components may fail or require replacement. Barnwell Typewriter cannot guarantee that every original component will remain functional throughout the service process.
Payment is due when the agreed-upon service is completed unless otherwise arranged. Additional charges for parts, materials, or customer-requested work may apply.
By requesting services from Barnwell Typewriter or leaving a machine in our possession, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Barnwell Typewriter reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions as needed.
