New Rental In the Shop!
This lovely Corona Folding Model Three, featuring the rest key! The "rest" key (located on the bottom right of the machine) was offered in Corona Typewriter Co. Inc.'s "Corona Accessories" pamphlet in the 1920's. The rest key was sold for just 25 cents! (approximately $4.08 today!)They were especially designed for touch typists that needed somewhere to rest their pinky finger, as the corona three featured a very compact keyboard. Most say the Corona three was one of the first ultra-portable typewriters ever made!
This Corona Three, (Expanded Keyboard) is the most recent refurbishment job. This specific machine is used by a band named Beaver Feet Music, a father son duo, to write the lyrics to all their songs! Which is truly amazing in this age of tech. I really do encourage you to check out their music! This machine has fallen off of a side table many, many times. Plus being abused by little children! But even through all that, Corona's engineering, and a little love, revived her to be a beautifal typer!
